We are very interested in the whole child, in their emotions, their academic life, and their artistic life.                                                                                                                                                   --Patricia Thel, Artistic Director
Our children develop a sense of who they are, a sense of confidence and skill in public performance, and they really do learn teamwork.

Patricia Thel, Artistic Director, earned her BM in music education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her MM from East Carolina University where she also taught undergraduate courses. She is conductor of Westminster Choir College’s Middle School Vocal Camp and has also served as an adjunct in the music education department. Before coming to Westminster, she was a choral conductor and teacher in the suburban school districts of Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, assistant conductor at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, and a member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus under the direction of Robert Shaw. Prior to her appointment as Artistic Director of the Trenton Children’s Chorus, she was the middle school choral conductor and teacher for Princeton Day School.

Gloria enthusiastically looks forward to teaching Learning Coaches and students to apply these principles in TCC's newly formed Learning Academy. She is a founding member of the TCC advisory board and has served on the board of MentorPOWER, as a volunteer writing coach for Trenton Central High School, and as a member of the Action Team that researched, evaluated and planned the reorganization of Trenton Central High School into career focused, small learning communities.
