Trenton Children’s Chorus members have access to a world of resources for their musical, social, and academic growth.

Trenton Children’s Chorus empowers the academic and social development of children through artistry in music. It provides exceptional opportunities to the young people of greater Trenton, New Jersey regardless of their financial situation. Founded in 1989 as an outreach project of two churches in Princeton NJ, Nassau Presbyterian Church and Trinity Episcopal Church, TCC began as an entirely volunteer-run program. Today, it offers choral music education, drumming and keyboard instruction, performance opportunities, music theory instruction, tutoring, homework assistance, SAT prep, college application help, and summer camp scholarships.

In an urban area where some 30% of students do not complete high school, 100% of TCC’s graduates attend college. Furthermore, we offer scholarships to our participants who are pursuing post-secondary degrees, matching family contributions to these costs up to $1,000 per semester. We strive to help its participants appreciate the value of self-discipline and commitment to a goal, broaden their outlook on life, recognize the importance of community, build skills that will promote their future success and happiness, enhance their self-esteem, and embrace the transformative joy of music. Families make a $25 contribution annually, demonstrating our shared spirit of investment in their children’s development, and a vision of their rightful place as an asset to their community.

TCC is known among the finest children’s choruses in the country, and has performed at the White House for President and Mrs. Obama, the United Nations, and the National Cathedral; for the swearing-in ceremony of former United States Representative Rush Holt at the Library of Congress and for the inauguration of Governor Chris Christie; in concert with Bobby McFerrin and Dave Brubeck; and for corporate, community, church, and private events in the greater Trenton area.
