The Trenton Children's Chorus provides opportunities for young people in Trenton, Princeton, and all neighboring communities to learn the artistic power and spirit of creating music together. We want our programs to demonstrate our commitment to a strong, safe, diverse, and supportive community experience where all choir members feel welcome and affirmed. And in all we do, we endeavor to expand the horizons for each choir member in musical education, in performance achievement and in personal standards, academic learning, individual growth and musical joy.

About Us, Briefly

Trenton Children's Chorus has grown steadily and organically since 1989 and now serves 75 young people in 4 ensembles (The Young People's Chorus, Intermediate Choir, Covenant Singers and Training Choir). These choirs perform in concerts and at civic, church and school events throughout the greater Trenton area and as far away as Boston and Washington, D.C.; during a typical year the choirs will participate in eight to ten events. Current professional music staff, in addition to the Artistic Director, includes two training choir directors, accompanist(s), two high school assistants, and two music enrichment professionals. At Trenton Children's Chorus, our mission is to give young people the chance to sing a wide range of choral literature, especially those who might not otherwise have an opportunity to do so; and to provide a way for children and youth from different backgrounds to get to know one another through artistic endeavor.
